Social Monitor

The fact that Romania is a poor country, that it has the lowest wages in the European Union and the lowest level of life are well-known things. But these evidences are far from exhausting the complexity of Romanian social reality, which conceals paradoxes, contradictions and opposing truths. We invite you to discover them on the Social Monitor! What is Social Monitor? It is a project that aims to present Romanian social realities in figures and data to encourage informed public debate. Digits ?! The figures are for statisticians, for economists! Not true, figures are for everyone interested, provided they are presented in an accessible and attractive manner. This is what the Social Monitor is trying to do. more

Friedrich Ebert Scholarship for young social democrats

Romania needs politicians who understand the challenges faced by Romanian society and are able to build alliances for progress. This requires unimpeded involvement and commitment to modernizing and develop society for the benefit of all, not only within political parties, but also in the associative environment, in personal and social spaces, in school, at work, within practising leisure activities. It requires moral courage and determination both at central level where great political decisions are made, and also at local level, where reality is always measured in relation to people's expectations. more

Exhibition "For an active democracy - against right-wing extremism!"

This exhibition is aimed especially at young people from the age of 14, but also to all people interested in the phenomenon of right-wing extremism. The exhibition is provided free of charge to educational institutions (schools, high schools, universities), as well as to any interested public institutions. Through mobile panels, the way in which a democratic society operates is explained, and an invitation to reflection on the value of democracy is also launched. The exhibition brings human rights and democratic principles to the forefront of any human society, and puts in contrast with them the ideology of the extreme right, in which these values are rejected and treated with hostility. more
